The Adventures of Lindamira was written anonymously over 300 years ago, so why am I claiming credit on Amazon and Goodreads as an author?

First, I listed myself as a secondary author, not the primary author, and I did write the annotations and commentary in addition to editing the novel for my 2023 edition, but that’s not the reason. On the book’s cover and inside the book I only list myself as the editor, and that’s how I started off with Amazon and Goodreads, but I discovered I didn’t have some of their important marketing tools available that way. So, I changed my name to secondary author, and was then able to do things like start a Goodreads giveaway.

Next, I’m also the publisher, and I might have been able to accomplish everything I need, perhaps more, if I’d listed myself as the publisher on Amazon and Goodreads, but I didn’t think of that until recently, and I don’t want to try changing something that big at this point, because I might break something.

So, I’m not trying to deceive anyone, I’m just trying to make a great romance novel available to the general public again, and make it appealing to modern readers.
